Insurance Authorization Specialist- Great Neck, NY
Spine Search is seeking an insurance authorization specialist or a receptionist with experience in prior authorizations to join a leading plastic surgery practice.

Responsibilities:
- Reviewing patient medical records and treatment plans to determine the need for insurance authorization.
- Contacting insurance companies to initiate the authorization process and providing necessary documentation.
- Communicating with healthcare providers and patients to gather additional information or clarification as needed.
- Following up with insurance companies to track the status of authorization requests and ensure timely approvals.
- Documenting all authorization-related activities accurately and maintaining detailed records.
- Resolving any issues or denials related to insurance authorization through appeals or other means.
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to ensure proper authorization procedures are followed and patient care is not delayed.
- Staying informed about insurance policies, regulations, and reimbursement guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
