Physician Assistant Wyoming
Key Responsibilities
Clinic & Patient Care:
-
Evaluate and manage 20-25 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.

Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and formulate treatment plans.
-
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and lab work.
-
Provide patient education on treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
Surgical & Hospital Support (Optional but Encouraged):
-
Assist in the operating room, working alongside the neurosurgeon during procedures.

Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounds as needed.
-
Support trauma cases on a rotating basis, with the potential to be called in for urgent cases.
Other Responsibilities:
-
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless patient care.

Participate in ongoing medical education and training to stay up to date with best practices in neurosurgery.
Schedule & Call Responsibilities:
-
Monday – Friday, standard clinic hours.
-
Occasional on-call duties for trauma cases, on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications:
-
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Licensure: Active PA license in Wyoming (or ability to obtain one).

Certification: NCCPA certification required.

Experience: Prior experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, or a surgical specialty is preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, excellent communication, and a passion for neurosurgical care.
