Physician Assistant Wyoming


Key Responsibilities

Clinic & Patient Care:

  • Evaluate and manage 20-25 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.

  • Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and formulate treatment plans.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and lab work.

  • Provide patient education on treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.

Surgical & Hospital Support (Optional but Encouraged):

  • Assist in the operating room, working alongside the neurosurgeon during procedures.

  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounds as needed.

  • Support trauma cases on a rotating basis, with the potential to be called in for urgent cases.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless patient care.

  • Participate in ongoing medical education and training to stay up to date with best practices in neurosurgery.

Schedule & Call Responsibilities:

  • Monday – Friday, standard clinic hours.

  • Occasional on-call duties for trauma cases, on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Licensure: Active PA license in Wyoming (or ability to obtain one).

  • Certification: NCCPA certification required.

  • Experience: Prior experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, or a surgical specialty is preferred but not required.

  • Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, excellent communication, and a passion for neurosurgical care.
