Medical Assistant-Stamford, CT

Spine Search is seeking a certified medical assistant to join a leading health system's team. New graduates are encouraged to apply. 

Full time schedule: M-F (8-5) with rotating Saturdays (9am-12pm, will get OT)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
2. Take vital signs, record patient medical history, and prepare patients for appointments.
3. Perform intake and EKG 
4. Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
5. Schedule appointments, answer phones, and handle patient inquiries.
6. Complete administrative tasks such as filing medical records, billing, and insurance verification.
7. Provide patient education on healthcare procedures, medications, and follow-up instructions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification preferred.
• Graduated a postsecondary MA program nationally accredited
• Knowledge of medical terminology, basic medical procedures, and clinic operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
