Director of Nursing

SpineSearch is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to join a leading ambulatory surgery center based in the Greater Providence area RI

Position is full time, Monday through Friday - offers a competitive salary based on experience, a full suite of benefits, and room for growth.

Requirements of the Director of Nursing:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Rhode Island Registered Nurse license
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in a Nursing Director role or equivalent
• Must have experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center setting

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing:

• Supervise employees.
• Provide clinical care as a registered nurse.
• Assess, plan, and deliver patient care per facility guidelines.
• Stay updated on nursing skills and practice.
• Communicate patient information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Evaluate nursing care against standards.
• Lead and attend clinical education and training.
• Ensure clinical staff complete required training and competencies.
• Monitor and oversee medication records and infection control.
• Lead clinical skills improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive team culture.
• Hire, train, and retain qualified staff.
• Manage staff performance and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with certification and OSHA guidelines.
• Supervise and guide clinical leaders.
• Serve as primary clinical contact for physicians.
• Drive facility growth through new initiatives.
• Oversee quality, risk management, and safety programs.
• Manage accreditation and emergency procedures.
• Represent the facility to patients, families, and vendors.
• Participate in policy creation and budgeting.
